As-Built

As-built documentation is an essential component of a Construction project. It provides an accurate and up-to-date record of the finished work and the materials used in the construction process. It also serves as a reference for future maintenance, repairs, and renovations.

Often As-Built Documentation is seen as an afterthought or an additional task to be completed at the end of the project. This is a pet hate of ours and should not be the case.

The preparation of as-built documentation should be integrated into the construction schedule, with specific milestones for all handover information. This helps to ensure that the final As-Built documentation reflects the completed works and is available promptly for use by the relevant stakeholders.
